Obituary

Ashley La Mountain Michael Farley, 36, of Goodyear, departed this world for heaven on February 1st, 2017. He was born on May 6th, 1980 in Phoenix, AZ to his parents Anna Tackett and the late Patrick Farley. He is survived by his wife Danielle and their 7 children: son Edwin Prestin, daughters Tatum, Avery, Madeline, Ainsley, Sadie, and son Radley; by his mother Anna and stepfather Steven Tackett. Surviving brother and sisters include Ryan Farley and his wife Michelle, Patricia Randels and her husband Matthew, Scherie Boyter and her husband Brice, Shelby Thomas, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Patrick Farley and stepfather Richard Thomas.

Ashley married his high school sweetheart Danielle, and they would have celebrated 17 years of adventurous marriage this coming May. As a District Sales Manager for Nestle Dreyer’s Ice Cream, he led his team with enthusiasm and fun. Full of life and an adventurous spirit, Ashley enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, playing pranks on everyone, and was even known to eat a fried scorpion wrapped in bacon a time or two.

Ashley and his family are firm believers in Jesus and were active in their church’s student and kids ministry at Christ’s Church of the Valley, Avondale Campus, where he volunteered wherever needed and his wife Danielle is on staff.

A man’s man, but also a tender-hearted man, Ashley was everyone’s best friend who always took the time to listen and boldly encourage those in his life who needed it. He could usually be found holding and loving on any baby that he could find.

Ashley is missed greatly by his family and friends, but he leaves a great legacy that is summed up in his life’s verse: Philippians 1:21 “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.”
