Obituary

Susan “Susie” Buckhannon, age 73, formerly of Clarksburg, West Virginia passed away surrounded by her family Monday, September 26, 2022 in Goodyear, Arizona. She was a graduate of Brideport High School and Clarksburg Beauty Academy. Susie worked for 35 years as a hair stylist. She also enjoyed cooking and after retirement, went on to cook at the Harrison County Senior Center in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Susie was known to be a kind soul by everyone.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Courtney Buckhannon Tafoya and her sisters, Janice Alexander Spradlin, and Jo Alexander Sturm. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kiersten Buckhannon, Kaylin Higgins, and Jaren Higgins along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Buckhannon; parents, Thomas and Anna Alexander; brother, John Alexander; and sisters, Mary Mills and Jeannie Cole.
