Obituary

Mr. Robert Gonzales Soto, age 63, of Avondale, Arizona passed away on July 26, 2020 in Avondale, Arizona. He was born on October 15, 1956 to Miguel and Josephina Soto in Eloy, Arizona.

Robert dedicated 35 years of his life to the United States Postal Service. He took pride in keeping his yard clean and well-kept and also enjoyed watching sports. He will be remembered as “the friendly mailman.” Anyone who ever met Robert had a lasting impression of him.

Robert is survived by his wife Maria Soto; his daughters, Christina Romayor, and Angelina Soto; his son, Robert Soto Jr.; his sisters, Carmen Barreras, and Lorenza Lopez; his brother, Manuel Soto; and he is also survived by his 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Miguel and Josephina Soto and his brother, Jose Soto.

Funeral services will be held at 10AM Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at First Southern Baptist Church. 1001 N. Central Ave., Avondale, Arizona with a viewing one-hour prior. Burial service will immediately follow in procession to West Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, Arizona.
