Richard James Riemenschneider passed away unexpectedly on May 11, 2023 in Goodyear Arizona, at the age of 68.

He was born in Evanston, Illinois in December 1954. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert R Riemenschneider and Polly (Caylor) Riemenschneider, and two brothers Robert Alan Riemenschneider and Steven Jay Riemenschneider. He is survived by his loving wife Martha Sedlacek Riemenschneider, and his cherished daughter Malinda Suzanne Riemenschneider. Also, by his brother John Paul Riemenschneider (Lauri) and two sisters, Anne Riemenschneider Cody (Mark), and Susan Riemenschneider Cao (Wiego), his Sister-in-law Annie Pasquale, and his Brother-In-Law, Paul Richard Sedlacek (Meg) (Cindy). He was often called “Uncle ReDickulous” by his nephews and nieces Kevin, Bryan and Caitlyn Cody; Kelsie, Justin and Caylor Riemenschneider; Quinn and Anna Bentjen; and Laura, Eric and Jasper Sedlacek. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

  1. Thank you for being amazing. You were a true gem of a man, putting everyone else’s needs first, always advocating for and assisting others in need with their disabling conditions. You did this despite your own Medical problems and disabling conditions. You tirelessly helped to raise awareness of Ehlers Danlos Syndromes, and gave so many a great sense of calm in the midst of their own storms. You will be truly missed, our warrior friend.
