Obituary

Richard Allyn Most celebrated his “Heavenly Birthday” on June 19, 2021 at his home in Buena Vista, Buckeye, AZ.
He was greeted there by his Heavenly Father, his beloved wife, Chloe; his loving father and mother; friends and fellow Marines who have gone on before, “Semper Fi!”
Rick joined the Marine Corps after graduating Enfield High School in Enfield, CT. He served in the Vietnam War in 1965 and 1966. After being Honorably Discharged, and under the G.I. Bill,
he received his BA in Art Education. Rick taught Junior High Art. He retired in 2007 and moved with Chloe to the Buena Vista community in Buckeye Arizona. He loved to volunteer in the village and help out with various duties, including caring for the community American flag. Our grateful thanks and appreciation to all who took him into their hearts and helped watch over him when he became totally disabled and wheelchair-bound.
Rico leaves behind his sister and her husband, Carol and Jim Bergman of Bluffton, SC; his brother and his wife, Jim and Denise Most of Belton, SC; his “brother” and friend next-door; his “daughter and son” and his “grandchildren” (he loved to be called grandpa!); and his special “earthly angels” who surrounded him with caring, love, and respect.

I’m very sorry to hear of my old friend’s passing. Rich and I had been friends since we were teenagers. In 1963 we joined the Marine Corps together. I never saw him after he left Connecticut in 1979 but we maintained contact through the years. The positive attitude he maintained through the physical challenges he faced later in life was inspiring. When we spoke on the phone we enjoyed many good laughs as we reminisced about the “old days.” Rest In Peace my friend.
