Obituary
Regino Ortiz Sr, 72, of Phoenix, Arizona died on January 14th, 2021 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born on January 10th, 1949 to Guadalupe and Aurelia Ortiz in Brownsville Texas.
Regino was a kind and caring man who didn’t know the meaning of the word “stranger”. He was the kind of man who would become your new best friend if you gave him five minutes of your time. Regino loved the outdoors and was an excellent fisherman; he was also a skilled welder and craftsmen. Regino was a hard worker and loved to work with his hands. He served his community as a Hot Shot Firefighter and had also worked as a migrant farmworker before he eventually retired as an Aerospace Welder for Karsten/Ping.
Regino is survived by his daughter, Theresa Ortiz, his sons Ernesto Ortiz and Regino Ortiz Jr., his sisters, Alicia Tijerina, Guillermina Burnias, Olga Murray, and Maria Almaraz, his brothers, Joe A. Ortiz and Jose Ortiz Sr. and his four grandchildren.
