Obituary

Pauline Smith-Pelliccino, 94, of Litchfield Park, Arizona died May 3, 2022 in Litchfield Park, Arizona. She was born September 19, 1927 in Ashkum, Illinois to John Meents and Hattie (Daniels) Meents.

Pauline was one of a kind! She loved to spend time with all of her family and friends. There was always laughter when the Daniels/Meents had family reunions. She loved watching her grandchildren grow up. She taught them many things, including playing cards, jigsaw puzzles, rock collecting, and rock painting.

Pauline loved the Chicago Cubs and watched them faithfully. It was fun to watch her yell and cheer for them. She was an avid reader, loved bird watching and traveling (especially to Las Vegas). On her 90th birthday, she was treated to a helicopter ride and loved every minute of it. Pauline was the greatest Mom, Mom #2, Grammy and Great-Grammy. She was loved by all including many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She never met a stranger and welcomed all with a smile. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents John and Hattie Meents; husband, Ralph Smith; husband, Tom Pelliccino; step-son, Paul Smith; brothers Enno, John, Emmet and Robert; and sisters Bernelda, Irene, Maxine, Velma and Margaret. She is survived by her son Dennis (Kelly) Smith; 5 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her extended family and friends.
