Obituary
Mrs. Nancy Gail Chisum, 85, of Avondale, Arizona died October 31, 2021 in Avondale, Arizona. She was born September 26, 1937 to James Vandeventer and Dora McNatt in Frisco, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dorman Kent Chisum and her sister Billie Mary Warner. Nancy is survived by her daughter Judy Lawson; sons Bobby and Kent Chisum; and sisters Emma Mattox and Ina Sue Edens. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation and Funeral services will begin at 1PM November 12 at Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear, Arizona.

I first met Nancy when I was about 9 years old, and she taught me how to pitch. I went on to receive a softball scholarship and she opened that door for me. She was an amazing woman and always held a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time.
