Myron “Duffy” Michael Heinle, passed away December 28, 2018, in Goodyear, AZ.  He leaves behind his wife, Barb; two daughters, Tracey Knos (Dave), Allison Gonzales (Ed); five beautiful grandchildren; two brothers, Gerald Heinle (Kathy), Galen Heinle (Sandy); and a sister Gale Deutsch.  Duffy was born in Riverdale, ND to Herbert Heinle and Ruby Burchell on September 18, 1952.  He attended Casselton High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts at Minot State.

He joined the Bismarck Police Department in 1975 and continued his service to the community until he retired from duty as Deputy Chief in 2007.  He was dedicated throughout his 32 years of service to his community and his family at the Bismarck Police Department.  He spoke often of how proud he was to have served his community and his fellow officers.

After retiring from the Bismarck Police Department he was hired as a contractor for Basin Electric where he worked from December 2007 to December 2014, before completely retiring.  He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren in Arizona and spending his summers at the family cabin on Lake Sakakawea.  He loved fishing, hunting with his brothers, and just sitting watching the beautiful sunset.  God bless you, Duffy!  We will miss you!

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 31, 2019, at McCabe United Methodist Church, 1030 N. 6th Street, Bismarck, ND  58501.  The family suggests that donations be made to Cops-N-Kids, Bismarck Police Depart, 700 S Ninth Street, Bismarck, ND  58504.
