Obituary

Ms. Sharon Louise DePace, 76, of Goodyear, Arizona died May 26, 2021 in Goodyear, Arizona. She was born January 26, 1945 in Seattle, Washington to Daniel DePace and Violet York.

Sharon was previously from Bothell, Washington and moved to Goodyear, Arizona in June 2020. She spent most of her career in a variety of positions in her 50 plus years in banking. She built many fond relationships over the decades. Most recently she was a professional caregiver. She had a passion for being a caregiver to all.

Sharon loved to cheer on her Seattle Seahawks and would make sure she was wearing all the appropriate fan gear.

Horses were her passion since early childhood. She loved to ride them and take care of them. She was the proud owner of race horses and would race them at Emerald Downs and Yakima Meadows in Washington State.

Sharon was never afraid of hard work, always generous, selfless and caring.

She is a proud grandmother of six grandchildren, soon to be a great-grandmother of twin girls. Her family was more important to her than anything else.

Forever remembered by her daughters, Michelle Schroeder (Dale), Dana Horbelt and Suzanne Witsoe, sisters, Teresa Tunget, Deborah Hatfield, Gloria Wilhelm, Connie Anderson, Pennie Morgan, brother, Clarence Hurst, and her grandchildren, Lindsay Loughnan (Ryan), Taylor Gill, Brady Witsoe, Jonah Wallen, Maxwell Horbelt, and Mia Horbelt. Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Hurst.

May you Rest in Paradise, until we are all together again.

A funeral service will be held at a later date.

    What an incredible lady she was! I knew her well enough to know that she was an extraordinary human being with a heart of gold. She was the epitome of goodness, love and decency. Look up at the heavens and you will see her star. Her legacy will live on forever.

  4. It was such a pleasure spending this past Easter with this lovely, gracious woman. (Who knew sugar free brownies could be so good?) My sincere sympathy to all of her loved ones. The world has lost a very special person.
