Obituary

Ms. Peggy Morentin, 72, of Goodyear, Arizona died September 23, 2021 in Goodyear, Arizona. She was born September 6, 1949 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to Royal Puddy and Marie Puddy. She is survived by her daughters Dionne (Joel) Gonzalez and Debbie Reid, son Dana (Patty) Morentin, sisters Mary Atkinson, Liz Peterson, Nancy Pit, brother Jim Puddy, and 12 grandchildren Nicolaus Morentin, Cassandra Greene, Joseph Gonzalez, JoJo Gonzalez, Jordan Gonzalez, Justine Gonzalez, Johnny Gonzalez, Adrianna Morentin, and Justin Reid. She was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Morentin, her parents Royal and Marie Puddy, brothers Dick, Danny, Michael, and David, and her sister Elaine.

Peggy was raised in Lakewood, California. After graduating from Mayfair Highschool in 1967, she attended beauty college, and became a hairstylist. She married Dennis Morentin in 1968, and together they had three children. She worked at Hangten and became an excellent seamstress. She used her skills to begin quilting. Eventually, she made quilts for all of her grandchildren. She loved painting, creating art, and baking the most delicious monster cookies. She taught many of her family members how to swim. She was a dedicated parishioner to Saint Christopher’s Parish and volunteered there often.

Services will be held October 24, at 1 PM, at Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear, Arizona.

    My little sister Peggy you will be missed we often talked on the phone for hours I’ll miss those calls and the talks we had . Keep a eye on for me and keep me in checked love you . For all of you Peggy is my age and we decided that Aunt Peggy made her feel to old so that’s why she is my little sister and I’m her little brother

  2. God be with my dear beautiful, kooky, crazy sarcastic with a laugh to fill a room ..so thankful I had my time at Estrella estates, breakfast, lunch , dinner, card and night the inseparable duo..may you run with Ollie . My angel friend ..I love you forever
