Obituary

Louise Balara, 96, of Goodyear, AZ died March 22nd, 2021 in Goodyear, AZ.  Louise was born November 9th, 1924 to Abraham Nashawaty and Anna Cardous in Cambridge, MA.

Born in 1924, Louise’s first job was during WWII. She was a welder at the Quincy shipyard in Massachusetts and worked on the USS Wasp aircraft carrier.  Louise was a hard worker (worked until she was 86 years old) and loved talking with people. She was an avid Red Sox fan having never missed a single game and supported them even if they were losing.

She was best known for her feisty personality; yet, her selfless heart in always thinking of others.

She was survived by her three daughters, Laura, Joanne and Linda as well as her two granddaughters, Jennifer and Stephanie.

She will be missed dearly by many.

  1. I’m so sorry for your loss. My family had the pleasure of living next door to Louise and her devoted daughter Laura and son in law Vinny Aquillio for 20 plus years. Louise was always so good to my children and myself and I will cherish those memories. Sending our deepest condolences

    She certainly was a presence! I remember her at the Syrian bakery – working hard there for many years.

  3. We are so sorry for your loss. We have many fond memories of Louise over the years. We remember when she working at Building 19 in Norwood back in the day. She was a funny lady, and will be missed. Our hearts and prayers with your family.
