Obituary

Linda was born in Bakersfield California, but also spent some years in Modesto California. She met the love of her life, Roger Fry, at an early age. After they married, they lived in Oregon, Arkansas, Colorado, and Maryland before settling in Arizona. During this time, they also completed a two-week mission trip to Ghana.

Linda accomplished many things in her professional life and retired in 2010 as Director of Inflight for U.S. Airways Phoenix Operations (formerly America West).

Linda was a steadfast and devoted wife to her husband Roger for 58 years. They raised 3 Godly children: Ted, Gail and Melissa. Everyone will tell you, she loved her children, their spouses, and their children with a deep, caring passion for each and every one. During their 58 years of marriage, and when not visiting extended family, Linda and Roger loved traveling all over the world together.

Linda’s smile was infectious and amazing! She was lovely, beautiful, funny, and so very strong with a special gentleness and sweetness. She always had time for someone in need.

Her children say, you can write words, but they will never be able to express their mom’s true beauty, her love, and what she means in their lives!

Linda’s greatest accomplishment was living the example of Christ to her family, friends and all who met her. She had hold on life and wanted to share it with everyone. She fully believed the eternal truth and ached for others to know as well. She could lead and be led. Yes, kindness was her motto, but Love was her goal (1 Cor 13:13).

We all wanted more time with Linda and weren’t ready to let her go, but we long for heaven’s grand reunion.

  1. Linda not only inspired me to travel but pointed me in the direction on how to get my passport and shared traveling tips. It has, without a doubt, led me to living to Europe now. You never imagine how something so small and seemingly insignificant as her encouraging words could lead to such a life-changing series of events. Linda is dearly missed in ao many ways. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with Roger and the entire family.

  2. True love never wanes, never forgets. God proved and proves that every day. Out thoughts and prayers are with you Roger.
