Obituary
Lewis Price Weaver of Waddell, Arizona, passed away on March 20, 2021 after a short illness. He was 77 years young, full of energy and a had a zeal for life. His warm heart and big smile will be missed by all who knew him. He was born on November 2, 1943 in Wagontown, PA. and grew up in a family of 2 bothers, 1 sister and 2 half-brothers. He grew up in the Mennonite community and carried the values of community, helping others and stewardship throughout his life. He was an outgoing person and those who knew him felt the sincerity and generosity that he embraced every day. Lewis P, as he was known to many, had the ability to make you feel like you were the only thing that mattered at any moment; No person or job was too big or too small.
He was married to Stephani Weaver for 40 years. They built their small ranch on 4 acres in the west Phoenix Valley and later built a summer cabin in Happy Jack, AZ. He held many jobs, including sales, construction, and property management. He was driven by the entrepreneurial spirit of the west.
His son Keith was a source of pride and enjoyment. Most recently, both were involved in a real estate and property management business. They grew the business on the values of service and commitment.
Lewis P’s favorite past times included horseback riding, building, spending quality time at the “cabin” with Stephani and watching his son play music at the local establishments.
He gave back to his community wherever he lived. He served in the Army National Guard, Maricopa Sheriff’s Posse, and other local service groups in the Valley.
He will be missed but will live on in our hearts and minds. Everyone who knew him was touched by his presence. He is survived by his wife Stephani, his son Keith and many caring relatives back in PA, whose stories he shared upon return to AZ from his summer visits to PA.
A memorial service will be held on April 24, 2021, from 8 to 11am., at the Thompson’s Funeral Chapel in Goodyear, AZ. There will be a celebration of life to follow at Keith and Deanna Weaver’s home from 1 to 6pm in Litchfield Park.

Let’s talk about
Lou
We prayed for his recovery
The happiest man on earth
Due in large part
To my sister Stephani
Who has loved
And nurtured him
For over 40 years
That kind of love
Does not come lightly
And endures
No matter what
Adversity
Lou has encountered
He bounced back
With energy
And a new sense of freedom
To teach us to laugh
At ourselves
And not to take life
too seriously
And that is the gift of Lou
God took him too soon
He had more to give
Us
His family
We love his laughter
And long to hear it
Forevermore

Stephanie, Keith and family,
My deepest sympathy for the sudden loss of Lewis.
He always had a great smile and enjoyed his life with his work, friends and family.
I had the pleasure of working with him and knowing such a kind , personable guy.
He will be missed by all.

I worked with Lou first in Flagstaff then in Newark when I transferred back to Delaware. A few of us visited him and his second wife to go see his new baby when he was born. I’ll never forget it. His kids were adorable. I think it was around 1976/77. He had a new baby boy (Lewis Jr) and a two year old little girl (I can’t remember her name). I spoke to Lou last year for info on a good area to rent for my brother. He was moving to Arizona and didn’t want to buy right away. Lou was helpful. I asked him about his kids and he said they were adopted when his ex wife remarried. He seemed sad, I’m sure it was heartbreaking. I hope he had a good life with grandkids to keep him happy and busy! I’m very sorry for his loss he went through and prayers to his family at this time.

He was an inspiration to my life and set the zest for being hands on and skilled. He was more of a brother than a bother in law in the short time we shared lives. I knew he has passed the torch on for others to carry on with the same smile.
