  1. I was very surprised and sorry to hear of David’s passing. A kind and jovial soul who always had a smile on his face. If he ever had a bad day in his life, he never let it show. My working relationships with David go back to the 1980’s when he was managing the cafeteria at the man camp in Tonopah during the construction of the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant. Those relationships continued after he began working for the Litchfield Elementary School District. Every school year we used to schedule the various events in which the Rural Metro Fire Department would support the LESD. He would often stop by my office at the Litchfield Fire Station just to say hi. He was always a staunch supporter of our agency and he will be greatly missed. RIP David.

I am just learning of David’s death. I sent him a birthday message and it was not delivered. I hope he got it anyway. I was missing David’s now and then phone call or message. Always started, MOTE (last name Molt) so I knew immediately who was calling. I visited him once and he showed me all he was doing to feed kids and the hungry. I was amazed and still am. In fact, I use his example now and then with the college class I teach. Miss you good friend.
