Obituary

Mr. Jaime Acosta, 66, of Buckeye, Arizona died December 25, 2021 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born May 23, 1955 in Juarez, Mexico to Francisco Acosta and Martina Alvarado.

Jaime loved his family, cooking, and tinkering around the house. He especially loved building things out of what everyone else would see as unusable. He was a jokester too. He liked to help others through sports, work, and church. He and Zach volunteered at the food bank every Saturday for years. He often spoke of his roots, and would try to connect with others through that. Jaime would occasionally mention his jersey collection from high school, volunteering at the park, and all of his favorite teams; including the Dodgers and Lakers. He would randomly call his kids just to say hi. He loved surprise visits from his son and having his girls nearby. His favorite saying was always “behave” before he left.

Jaime is survived by his daughters, Laura Acosta, Blyss Acosta, and Jade Acosta; sons Jaime Alberto Acosta, Francisco Acosta, Sebastian Gonzalez, Gino Gonzalez, and Zachary Acosta.

A visitation will be held at 9AM on Saturday, January 22 at Desert Hills Baptist Church with the funeral service will begin at 10:30am.
