Obituary

Gerard Maurice Rioux, 68, of Litchfield Park, Arizona died January 2, 2023 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born April 14, 1954 in Lewiston, Maine to Roger and Jeannette Rioux. He was preceded in death by both parents and a brother, Raymond Rioux. He is survived by his wife, Paula Rioux, sons, Garry (Candice) Rioux and Gregory (Holly) Rioux, sister Jeanine (Rick) Pickett, sister-in-law Pam (Chuck) Hughes. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Destanie, Luc, Jackson, and Aubrey, niece Christine (Shane) Lee, nephew Damian Hughes, great-nephews, Aaron, Caleb, and Seth, and great-niece Charlotte.

Gerry was born in Lewiston, Maine in 1954. His family moved to California in 1956 where he grew up in Lakewood. He was married to his wife, Paula, in 1977 and together they had two sons, Garry and Greg. The family remained in Lakewood. In 2020, Gerry and Paula followed Greg and his family to Arizona.

He had a love for country music, playing his guitar, and singing. He also loved camping in his RV. He loved to be around his family and friends and was the best Pepere ever to his grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at 1:30pm, Friday, January 13 at Thompson Funeral Chapel. A scripture service will begin at 2pm.
