Obituary

Genevieve Elizabeth Kelly, age 78 of Buckeye, AZ died February 20, 2020, in Buckeye, AZ. She was born November 4, 1941, in Buckeye, AZ to Elda and Unice Howe. Genevieve graduated from Buckeye Union High School. She lived a simple life, working at Circle K until her retirement, then going home to spend a quiet evening. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, working in her yard, and quilting. She was an Elvis fanatic and spent many hours buying memorabilia from QVC. Kind-hearted, she took care of every stray cat or dog that crossed her path. She loved Christmas and Thanksgiving and gathering her family for dinners. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Genevieve is survived by her daughter, Pamela Larimer; son, Stephen O’Brien; sisters Linda Howe-Coortney, and Patricia Axtell; brother, John Howe; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by James Kelly and Philip O’Brien. A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Tuesday, February 25, 2020, at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ 85338. Burial will take place at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Cemetery, 9925 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, 85392.  Condolences for the family may be left below.
