Obituary

Faye Phyllis Triplett, age 102, of Glendale, AZ died August 19, 2018, in Glendale, AZ.  She was born November 7, 1915, in Illinois to Preston and Bertha Yates Triplett.  She graduated from Herrin High School in Herrin, IL.  After graduation, she worked as a hostess and hat check girl in a major restaurant in Chicago.  Faye was a born caregiver.  She cared for her parents until their passing.  She came to Arizona to visit her sister and ended up staying to care for her.  After her sister passed, Faye continued to care for her brother-in-law until his passing.

Upbeat and fun, Faye was a joy to be around.   Everyone loved her!  She was even flattered with four marriage proposals while living in Thunderbird Senior Living.  She loved to go shopping at Dillard’s.  Faye was always thankful and very generous.  She paid for twin nieces to attend private school.  She frequently hosted lunches for visiting friends and relatives.  She always acknowledged and showed appreciation for her caregivers.

Faye is survived by cousins, Evelyn Benson, and Lory Charnetsky; nieces, Tracy Rupel (Paul), and Candice Field; grandnieces, Melanie Whitcomb, and Fay Ann; grandnephews, Clyde Jo Willis, John Willis, and Ronald Kuhlman.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Bertha Yates Triplett; brothers, Jock and Joseph; and sister Mildred Ingram.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, September 21, 2018, at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392.  Burial will follow at Resthaven East, 4310 E. Southern Avenue, Phoenix, AZ  85042.  The family suggests that donations be made to Hospice of the Valley.
