Elliott H. Jalovec
Elliott H. Jalovec, age 70 of Cleveland, OH died July 17, 2018 in Tonopah, AZ. He was born August 10, 1947 in Cleveland, OH to Henry and Elsie Jalovec. Elliott was a kind-hearted, dedicated father and devoted grandfather. He loved his family and was fiercely loyal to his wife Janice. His concern for his children and grandchildren extended to all aspects of their lives. He was famous for warning his dating children, “No huggie bear, kissie face!” Elliott was a hard-working man. In his free time, he loved to play golf. He was helpful and reliable, always reminding others that he was just a call away; and if asked how he was doing replying, “I’m fine!”
Elliott is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Jalovec (Brigid), Jacquelyn Szelenyi (John); sons, Thomas Jalovec, Christopher Jalovec (Ange-Lisa), Jeremy Jalovec (Jenny); brother, Wade Jalovec; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice and his mother, Elsie.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 – 11:15 am, Monday, July 23, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ 85338. Burial will follow at 11:30 am at Holy Cross Cemetery, 9925 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation in Elliott’s name.
I was looking for an obit and came across this one. I believe I was Elliott’s former classmate at Incarnate Word Academy, Parma Heights, OH. I send my prayers and deepest sympathy to the Jalovic family. May he rest in peace.
