Obituary

Edwin Charles Brousseau, 77, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2020, at his home in Laveen, AZ. He was born in Willimantic, CT, on January 17, 1943, to the late Ernest and Marie (Bellerive) Brousseau. He was predeceased in death by his wife, Georgia Cole Brousseau, a brother, Ernest Brousseau, and sisters Adel Asselin, Rosemarie Chamberland, Claire Veilleux, and Sally Constant. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Steven Brousseau in Mississippi, Nicole Deane in Virginia, Stacey Kuhar in Virginia, his step-son, Russell Cole, and his daughter-in-law, Tracy Cole, in Arizona, and his siblings Philip Brousseau in Florida, Cecile Vordermark in Florida, and Suzanne Butterfield in Colorado as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Edwin joined the Air Force shortly after graduating from high school and spent his life in service to our country, his community, his neighborhood association, as well as the local school system as a school crossing guard post-retirement. He loved to travel and often made trips across the country to visit relatives and friends.

Edwin will be laid to rest with his wife, Georgia, at the Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Marana with a military ceremony when the current restrictions are lifted. Thompson Funeral Chapel will be helping to coordinate his service. Online condolences may be expressed to the family below.

  1. Ed was a good guy. I worked with him at the 162nd Fighter Wing. He was always nice to me when I came to deliver parts to the shop. He was a thinker and always asked me questions. I know it is a huge hole in your hearts right now… I am thinking of all of you.
