Obituary

Dorothy Mae (Dottie) Eaton passed on July 3, 2018 in her home in Litchfield Park, AZ as the result of a severe stroke she suffered on May 8 of this year. Dottie was born in South Bend, Indiana on June 20, 1931 to Russell and Stalle Eaton. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, and by her former husband H. Dale Rerick. She is survived by her five children; Don, Bob, Cindy, Chuck, and Al, as well as eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

 Dottie was a hard and uncomplaining worker all her life and was rarely idle.  She had a very successful Pet/House Sitting business that kept her extremely busy and very happy. She loved her family and friends but she absolutely adored  her pets!  Dottie was also a very creative and busy crafts person; sewing, knitting, quilting, rug hooking, basket weaving, greeting cards, and ceramics,  just to name a few.  She was also a member of many related crafting groups and got together regularly with her her Bunco group. Dottie was an integral and loving part of her large family and of the pets she cared for.  She was loved by them all and will truly be missed by everyone who knew her.   

A Memorial Service will be held for her on August 4 at 11:00 at The Church at Litchfield Park.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Arizona Humane Society.
