Obituary

Doreen Toohey – beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother – passed away peacefully on Friday, May 14^th, 2021.  Doreen was born in the Detroit, Michigan and lived in the surrounding area for most of her life before moving to Goodyear, Arizona 20 years ago to enjoy an active retirement.

Doreen lived her life to the fullest, and aside from her devotion to her family, she was an award-winning ballroom dancer, a runner-up for the Mrs. Michigan title, and a small business owner in retail clothing. 

She is survived by her husband of over 70 years, Jerry, as well as her sons (Paul, Richard, Thomas, Raymond, David), her daughters (Susan, Carol), her sister Marilyn Pogue Nagy, and her 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.  She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by all.
