Obituary

Donna Tucker, 70, of Goodyear, Arizona died July 27, 2022. She was born 1952 in Hammond, Indiana to Farl and Rita Augustine. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Tucker and daughter, Amy Parker. She is survived by her son Jay, daughter-in-law Andrea, grandchildren Karissa, Luke, & Madelyn, as well as her siblings Alan, Kelly, Darrin & Dawn.

At a young age, Donna moved to Southern California where she graduated from High School in 1970.  She later graduated from Long Beach City College and pursued a career in Nursing.

She later moved to Kingman, AZ with her young Daughter Amy (born 1975), and in 1980, she married Donald Tucker. She gave birth to her second child, Jay, in 1981. The family relocated to Goodyear, AZ in 1991 where she co-owned Tucker Funeral Home (which later became Thompson Funeral Chapel). She and Donald remained married until his death in 2021.

Donna took great pride in caring for others. She helped raise her 3 siblings, raised 2 children of her own, had a long career in the medical field, and later in life was a caregiver for her stepfather and husband in their final years while also fighting her own battle with cancer. Her greatest joy was being “Mema” to her three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm, Monday, August 29, 2022 at Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear, Arizona.
