Demetrius Carlos Marshall of Kennesaw, Georgia died May 7, 2023 at the age of 25. He was born October 16, 1997 in Chicago, Illinois to Curtis Marshall and Yolanda Ortiz. He is survived by his parents, Curtis Marshall and Yolanda Ortiz, sisters Aaliyah Marshall and Le’aisha Marshall, brothers Devante Marshall, Christopher Marshall, Jeremiah Marshall, Elijah Marshall, Isaiah Marshall, Carmelo Marshall, Ja’kobe Marshall and Omarion Marshall, and his grandmother Julia Ortiz.
Demetrius grew up in Illinois, Indiana, and Arizona. He graduated from Verrado High School in 2017. He attended the dental school at Estrella Mountain Community College for three years. In 2020, he moved to Kennesaw, Georgia to attend Kennesaw State for Business. He worked as a TSA for the Georgia Airport.
A visitation will be held from 10:30am to 12:30pm on Saturday, June 3 at Thompson Funeral. A graveside service will begin at 1pm at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale, Arizona.
