Obituary

Darrin was born to John and Ruth Anderson, Sr. in Port Jefferson, New York. From the very beginning Darrin was an adventurous young man with a spirit of love and joy for a life of sports. Darrin grew up in Gordon Heights in Long Island, New York. Darrin attended school in Long Island, New York and graduated from Longwood High School in 1980.

Darrin’s’ career in Automotive started at Stony Brook University in New York, where his love and passion for cars and motorcycles grew into a lifetime of excitement. Darrin was very athletic throughout his entire life with a love for basketball and recreations, including motorcycles.   Darrin’s love for family and friends always brought him joy and those around him enjoyed him immensely.

Darrin was a devoted and baptized Jehovah’s Witness. (June 27, 1989.)

Darrin is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Patty; children, Crystal and Jordan (Aubree and Malik) ; parents, Ruth and John Anderson, Sr. ; siblings and spouse(s), Denise (Tom) Gaynor, Raymond (Kathy) Anderson, Renee Anderson, John, Jr. (Shawnee) Anderson, Kevin Anderson, Keith (Julie) Anderson, and Nicole (Brian) Lammi and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and an uncountable amount of friends.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am with a funeral service to follow at 10:30 am, Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ 85338. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 9925 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 85392.

    To the Anderson Family, please lean on the Lord and your faith will see you through your loss. Our Savior left you all a Comforter. Darrin rest well until we all reunite with Christ.

  2. We were fortunate to meet Darrin on two occasions. One was a car show and the other was an AZ Diamondbacks baseball game. We are very thankful to have shared in those passions that meant so much to Darrin. Our thoughts and prayers Are with John and Ruth and the entire Anderson Family and especially Patty, Crystal and Jordan.
