Obituary

Ms. Christy Celeste Lal, 31, of Goodyear, Arizona died October 16, 2021 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born May 19, 1990 in Phoenix, Arizona to Benjamin and Jolena Lal.

Christy attended school at Skyway Christian School and Northwest Christian High School. She went on to graduate from Dysart High School in 2008. A Born-Again Christian, Christy loved praise, worship, and singing gospel music. Her hobbies included collecting elephants, shopping, and dressing in costumes for Halloween and birthdays.

She is survived by her parents Benjamin and Jolena Lal, sister Melody Stockton, brothers Ryan Lal, Rick Lal, Shannon Thomas, and Brad Lal.

She was preceded in death by grandparents: Darrell and Virginia McLemore and Oscar and Juanita Herrin; great-grandparents: Frank and Liddie Barnes, S.A. and Nina McLemore, Thomas and Nellie Lyle, and aunts: Priscilla Maharaj and Isabel Boyd.

A visitation will be held at 9:00am on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Skyway Church of the West Valley in Goodyear, Arizona. A funeral service will be held at 10:30am, Friday October 29, 2021 at Skyway Church of the West Valley. Burial will be at West Resthaven Cemetery in Glendale, Arizona.

The family suggests that donations be made to Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix, Arizona.
