Obituary

Carl Joseph Kubler, age 65 of Buckeye, AZ died December 21, 2019, in Buckeye, AZ. He was born November 5, 1954, in Bremerton, WA to Clarence Joseph and Margaret Atkinson Kubler. Growing up he lived in Germany, South Dakota, and Tucson, AZ. He attended the University of South Dakota and received a degree in nursing.

Carl worked for 35 years as a nurse; many of those years at Wickenburg Community Hospital. He was proud to be a nurse – a really good nurse. His tender care for his patients encompassed both physical and emotional needs. His compassion assured that no patient ever felt alone. He also worked as a traveling nurse which enabled him and his wife to enjoy California beaches and other sites that he had always wanted to visit.

While living in Wickenburg Carl was privileged to ride in the DC Ride for 14 years with many of those rides as trail boss. He loved the desert. He would often take native desert materials and fashion them into beautiful benches, shadow boxes, and vases. Even rocks became treasured artifacts after he had polished them up. He was never happier than when he was at home with Linda; his dogs, Cowboy and Chica; and cat, Clarence, sitting outside watching the sunset.

Carl is survived by his wife, Linda Kubler; daughter, Daffney Hoffman (Allen); son, Jeremy Kubler (Kim); sisters, Gretchen Housman (Lee), Kathleen Hawes (Gary), and Erika Warren; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his brother, John (Steven) Kubler.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, January 25, 2020, at the AZ Vineyard Church, 255 N Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, 85338, AZ with a reception to follow. Memorial gifts may be sent to Pat Foster, 4612 W Monte Cristo, Glendale AZ 85306. Condolences for the family may be left below.
