Obituary

Arthur “Joe” Kramer passed peacefully on April 20th after a long battle with Parkinson’s.  He was born and raised in North Baltimore, Ohio where he nearly lost a foot in a rock climbing accident at age 12.  Nevertheless, he became a football star in high school and served in the Marines from 1948-1951.

He earned a teaching degree from Wittenberg University and became a high school teacher.  He soon returned to Wittenberg, earned his Master’s in Divinity, and became a Lutheran pastor for many years.  He later transitioned to selling educational media and films for Britannica and Coronet.  Late in his career, he became an accredited Administrator and ran various nursing care facilities in Ohio.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Connie, his two children David (Jolene) and Karen Borchers (Dan) and his four grandchildren Steven, Jim, David Borchers, and Amanda Borchers.

We will never forget his incredible sense of humor, his harmonizing in barbershop quartets, and his divine wisdom.

Joe and Connie moved from Dayton Ohio to Litchfield Park, AZ in 2013.  A funeral service will be held at La Loma Village in Litchfield Park, AZ at 2:30PM on Thursday, May 6, 2021.
