Obituary
Ms. Ana Maria Gutierrez, 71 of Litchfield Park, Arizona passed away on December 9, 2020 in Litchfield Park, Arizona.
She was born October 23, 1949, to Teofilo Gutierrez and Maria de Jesus Gonzales in Fresno, California.
Ana retired from Glendale Community College after 30 years of service. Although Ana never married or had children of her own, she helped raise Edgardo Soto Jr., Lorraine Valentine, Andrew Soto, Yvette Venegas and Jazmin Soto. Ana was also madrina to countless children including Bernadette Gortarez and Angel Valentine to name a couple.
She is survived by her sisters Rita Gutierrez and Eloisa Silva.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Thompson Funeral Chapel.

Ana Gutierrez was raised by her Mother Maria de Jesus along with her sisters Rita and Norma. The home was loving and routine. Meals were always at the same time and home cooked. Laundry was always done on the same day of the week. Very secure home life then this world turned upside down when Maria de Jesus joined her husband, Teofilo in heaven. Ana was only 18 years old. The youngest, Norma, was only 11 years old. (Norma died in 2012.) Ana was determined that the sisters would remain in the house that was built by their father despite various offers from family members who wanted the sisters to be split and go live with them. Losing a Mother at such a young age is very painful and difficult. Such a young age to make such a decision and she filled in those huge shoes their mother left as far as running of the home and keeping up the routine. Being the disciplinarian. Showing love. She was fearless! What suffering! Pillar of strength!
