Obituary

A. Steven (Steve) Tufano of Goodyear passed away on January 18, 2019, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born February 16, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois to Arthur and Ruth Tufano. He grew up in Villa Park, a suburb of Chicago, with his 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

He is survived by his wife Marsha; 2 daughters Lisa and Kimm (Chris) (with ex-wife, Diane Tufano); 4 sons Shawn (Hai), Eric, Ryan (Sara) and Dustin Hester, and Jeremy Meyers as well as countless ‘additional kids’ he loved as his own and 14 grandchildren. He also leaves behind 4 siblings: Angela (Werner Tyczka), Jerry (Vicky), Jamie (Susie) and Caron (Glenn Warnicke). He is preceded in death by his beloved father and mother.

Steve served his country in the 82nd Airborne Division of the US ARMY as a paratrooper from 1969 to 1971. Nothing was more important to him than his country, his love of parachuting and his family. Steve was very much a family man and could usually be found shirtless telling a story, and you can guarantee that he ALWAYS had a smile on his face and a kind word. It didn’t matter to him what the problem was, his number one concern was always the well-being of his family and friends. He was a strong man in his own ways, and never let anything go before what was most important to him; his family. He touched the lives of everybody that knew him.

Steve’s Celebration of Life will be held at his daughter’s (The Final Copy) home in Surprise, AZ on Saturday, January 26th, 2019 at 12 pm.
