Obituary

Nancy A. Charron Graham of Goodyear, Arizona passed away December 4, 2023 at the age of 85. She was born May 31, 1938 in Montague, Massachusetts to the late Joseph and Winifred (Moriarty) Charron. She was also preceded in death by her husband Edward C Graham and stepson Patrick Graham.

Nancy is survived by her brother Joseph (Marie) R Charron, III of Greenfield, Massachusetts; nephew Jeffrey Charron of Greenfield, Massachusetts; niece Suzanne Hale of Natick, Massachusetts; stepson Kevin (Lisa) Graham of Goodyear, Arizona; stepson Edward (Maureen) of Metuchen, New Jersey and her step-grandchildren Sarah and Jessica of Arizona and Erin, Deirdre, Joseph great step-grandson James of the northeast, Jake Hale of Leyden, Massachusetts, Sawyer Hale of Northfield, Massachusetts, Allie Charron Campos of Plymouth, Massachusetts and Lindsey Charron of Littleton, New Hampshire. She also leaves behind many cousins and her many friends in Massachusetts, Georgia, and Arizona.

Nancy was born and raised in Greenfield, Massachusetts. She attended and graduated from Holy Trinity School and then with the 1956 class of Greenfield High School. She attended Merrimack College in Andover, Massachusetts from 1956 to 1958. She then attended and graduated from the Providence Hospital School of Nursing in 1961. Nancy spent most of her nursing career in the operating room. She worked as an RN at Farren Memorial Hospital in Montague City, Massachusetts from 1961 to 1979, Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Massachusetts from 1979 to 1980, Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts from 1981 to 1982, and Dekalb Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia from 1982 to 1993.

Nancy married Ed Graham in Northampton, Massachusetts on November 15, 1980. They lived in Millis and Medfield, Massachusetts before moving to Lilburn, Georgia in 1982. They later moved to Goodyear, Arizona in 2004. In her free time, Nancy enjoyed watching the New England Patriots play and gameshows (especially Jeopardy and Family Feud) on TV. She also enjoyed playing cards, reading, and spending time with her family. If she had a choice, her favorite music was anything she could dance cheek-to-cheek to with Ed. Nancy and Ed enjoyed traveling and went on cruises around the world. She was a sweet soul whose proudest achievements were her family and being a nurse. She was a member of the American Association of Registered Nurses. She was also very social within Pebble Creek, actively participating in bridge groups, Hand & Foot, and golf groups.

Nancy had a kind heart and everybody who knew her loved her in return. She was known to be exceptionally organized, which helped her in her nursing career. Her passing leaves her family broken-hearted, but we know she is together with Ed, dancing cheek-to-cheek again.

Nancy requested there be no flowers for her service. Instead, she would like donations to be made to Infinity Hospice Care, First Tee (because of her love of golf and the help they give underprivileged children), the American Heart Association, or the American Cancer Association.

Nancy’s funeral service, which includes calling hours (9:45 am) and the Funeral Mass (10:30 am) will be Monday, December 18 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Her repast will immediately follow at Pebble Creek Tuscany Falls Clubhouse (Chianti Room) 16222 Clubhouse Drive Goodyear 85395.

The burial will take place in Greenfield, Massachusetts.
