Obituary

Mr. James “Tex” B. McNallen, 85, a resident of Goodyear, Arizona died on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015 in Goodyear, Arizona after his courageous battle with cancer.

He was born February 17, 1930 in Heber Springs, Arkansas, to George and Sallie Lou McNallen.

Mr. McNallen served in the U.S. Navy as a captain.

Mr. McNallen earned his M.B.A. and Ph.D. From New York University, and his J.D. from University of Connecticut – School of Law.  He was an adventure lover (having traveled around the world 3 times).  He was a scholar and avid reader, forever in search of the perfect book store.  He was a lover of food and politics, but remember “Parking is available for Democrats only”.

Mr. McNallen is survived by son, James Lawrence McNallen; daughter, Marianne Victoria McNallen; brother, Bob McNallen of Texas.  Tex leaves behind many family and friends whom he cherished dearly.

Mr. McNallen is preceded in death by his ex-wife, Marianne Kakos; sons, Thomas Berl McNallen and John Kennedy McNallen.  He will be buried alongside his son, John, in Herndon, Virginia.

Memorial service to be held Thursday, June 25, 2015, 3:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd., Goodyear, AZ 85338.  Condolences can be sent to www.thompsonfuneralchapel.com
