Welcome to Thompson's Funeral Chapel

Sean E. Thompson
Sean was born and raised in Ada, OK and moved to Edmond, OK after high school. Attending the University of Central Oklahoma, Sean received his Mortuary Science certification and became the youngest person to ever be licensed in the State of Oklahoma as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. Sean moved to Waco, TX for three years where he met Cynthia. After being married, they moved back to Edmond and were there until July of 2003 when they moved to the beautiful state of Arizona. Purchasing the funeral home in July of 2005 was a dream come true for Sean. Having done nothing but the funeral business his whole life, he was now able to do it under his own shingle and he views it much like a ministry. Sean and his wife Cynthia reside in Avondale and have three grown children.

Cynthia D. Thompson
Cynthia was born in Houston, Texas. She grew up through her teen years in Mexico City and Guadalajara, as her parents were missionaries. She moved back to Texas and met Sean in 1994. They were married in 1995. That is when she was introduced to the funeral business. They were blessed to move to the West Valley in 2003 and to purchase the funeral chapel in 2005.

Ken Williams, our senior staff member, supports our efforts with over 20 years of expertise for the families we serve, along with various management roles in the funeral, cemetery, and cremation business. He currently provides service to our families as an assistant funeral director, and maintains an Arizona life insurance license as a means to assist families with pre-planning and pre-funding their funeral arrangements. Ken lives west of Luke AFB with his wife Trish, their pets and enough work around his property to keep him busy. In addition, Ken is a bereavement volunteer with a local hospice.

Carmen Terra Schultz has been a West Valley resident since 2004 and a member of our funeral home staff since 2005. She holds a degree in Mortuary Science and is a licensed embalmer.  A firm believer in community involvement, she enjoys participating in many local church and community improvement projects and looks forward to the continued revitiliztion of Historic Goodyear.

Jeromy Beaver has been back in the valley since July of 2007 and previously resided here from 1994-2000. Jeromy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and in Health and Physical Education. He is married and has 2 wonderful children. He teaches public school by day and works weekends and evenings here at Thompson Funeral Chapel as a member of our support staff team.
