Obituary
Mrs. Leona Pierson, 85, of Peoria, AZ died August 26, 2017 in Peoria, AZ. She formerly resided in Goodyear, Arizona for more than 40 years. Leona passed peacefully in her sleep as she had always said she wanted to.
She was born November 10, 1931 to Clarence and Ollie Kearfott in Gridley, Illinois. She is survived by her former husband, William Pierson, Peoria, AZ; Daughter, Nancy Veich, Goodyear, AZ; sons Robert Pierson, Goodyear, AZ, Richard Pierson, Peoria, AZ, and Glen Pierson, Tucson, AZ; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Leona was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 61.
A family-only memorial service is being planned for the fall.
Leona requested that in lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona.
