  1. Deepest thoughts and prayers for the family during this difficult time. I can count Jim as a friend and I have missed our chats since his departing Danville. I learned a great deal from him and I valued his counsel. If a man is measured by his influence upon others then Jim cast a great shadow. Our community here in Danville was bettered by his quiet contributions of time and resources. Jim always cared about others. I am proud to have counted him among my friends.

  2. Very sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. We chatted many times in his store in

Danville and also attended Cattlemens meetings together. I always enjoyed

talking to him and discussing politics as well as current events. The last time

we spoke he told me of his plans to move back to Arizona and was very

excited . He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

    My deepest sympathy

  3. I only knew Mr. Gage for a few years and then only when I frequented his cigar store. Although our meetings were brief, his conversations were full of intelligence on many subjects and always full of good cheer. I was sadden at the closing of his store and am more so of hearing of his passing. He loved his family dearly and spoke of them often. May God be with you in Jim’s absence.
