Obituary

Gary Molczyk, age 57 of Buckeye, AZ died May 2, 2017. He was born December 3, 1959 in Phoenix, AZ to Andrew and Colleen Dunning Molczyk. Gary’s early education was in the Agua Fria school system. As a young man he worked for a newspaper delivery service and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. He graduated with honors from Agua Fria High School and went on to attend Northern Arizona University’s college of Engineering and Technology graduating in 1981 with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science and Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and Technology. His 35 year career was spent as an independent contractor and consultant to several large aerospace corporations. His expertise was developing algorithms from weight management to flight control and simulation for missiles, spacecraft and aircraft.

Gary is survived by his mother, Colleen Molczyk; sister, Paula Hepworth (Kent); brother, Robert Molczyk; and friend, Wendi. He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Molczyk; sister, Donna Lynn Molczyk; and brother, Michael “Mike” Molczyk.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at First Southern Baptist Church of Avondale, 1001 N. Central Avenue, Avondale, AZ. Interment will follow at the Louis B. Hazelton Cemetery, 23100 W. Broadway Road, Buckeye, AZ 85326. Condolences for the family may be left at www.thompsonfuneralchapel.com.

    Gary, what is life but a vapor here one moment and gone the next. Moose it seems like only yesterday growing up in grade school together and playing football together in High School and then to hear of your demise . You always treated me good and you’ll be missed .
