Obituary

Fred D. Haynes, Jr., age 83 of Avondale, AZ died December 10, 2016 in Tolleson, AZ. He was born January 22, 1933 in Speaks, TX to Fred and Iva Lee Haynes. Fred served in the US Army. He had a passion for farming. He worked for the Brooks Family Farm for many years and became very close to the family. He loved working and it showed in his business relationships. Those who worked under him had a great respect for him.

Fred is survived by his wife, Elnora Haynes; daughters, Rose (Larry) Colbert, Ola Earley; sisters, Florence Elizabeth, Imogene, Anna Lois; brother, Alan; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Callie Grace, and brothers, John Wayne and Lawrence.

A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm followed by a funeral at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ. Interment will be at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at a later date.
