  3. Mary and Family, such sad news hearing about our old buddy Sarge. We’ve had many laughs over the years when he worked at Peterbilt in Grand Island with Jimmy Smith rebuilding trucks and such not to mention that Wrecker they built and operated back in the days. I also remember all the miles we’ve traveled together least on at Chief hauling those crazy buildings around the Country from one end to the other, not to mention all the lumber or steel we hauled back to the plant to be carried out for another weeks work. We all know that our day is coming to meet our maker but some come sooner than others. We all know that your Husband and Father of your children done what ever had to be done to provide for you all. And now it’s time for him to have a much needed rest and prepare a home for you all when you meet again in Heaven. God Bless Sarge and you all during this time in need. Rest in Peace my friend.

Many Moons have come and gone since we laid eye’s on each other old buddy. But that doesn’t mean we forgot each other, does it? We both had our trucks on at Chief Industries in Grand Island, Ne and before that we had a lot of fun when you and Jimmy worked at Peterbuilt building there Wrecker from scratch. Seems like yesterday I stopped to visit with you out in California when you were working for “TWO” Transport in Long Beach. Wasn’t long after that I heard that you and Mary moved to the Phoenix area and we lost touch with each other. Today I read in the paper that you and Mary moved to Buckeye. Wished I would of known this guess we could of stopped on our way to San Diego last year and had a good visit with you both. Our time is shorter than we think sometimes here on earth but I know deep down that you are going to make a place for Mary when she comes home to join you someday. Until then my friend, our love goes out to you and the family left here to carry on as you would be doing yourself, if you were still here to do so. Rest in Peace my friend and some day we’ll all be together again. Your friends………Fred and DeeDee Salmon…………..Aurora, Nebraska
