Obituary

Diane Mary Mayer, aged 66, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 in Waddell, Arizona. She was born to Rosaria and Louis Mucerino on June 9, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois.

Diane attended Proviso East High School in Maywood, Illinois before attending Judson University in Elgin. She was an active member in the church community of St. Charles Borromeo in Hampshire where she served as a Catechist and Eucharistic Minister. She served as a Trustee with the Ella Johnson Library District in Hampshire. Before retiring she worked as the Office Manager for Burlington Dental in Burlington. She also started and ran several small businesses with her family.

Diane served as a Reserve Officer with the Rolling Meadows Police Department where she met her husband, Robert, at Firearms Training in 1987. They married the next year. Diane was a talented baker, cook, loved to craft and sew, and sang in her church choir.

Diane is survived by her sisters, Mary Lou Martin, Nancy Restagno; her two daughters, Michelle Glosemeyer, nee McCormick (Theodore), and Elizabeth Mayer; her son, Joseph Mayer; and her granddaughter Annalise Glosemeyer. She also leaves behind many loving relatives and friends.

Diane’s wishes were to be cremated. A private memorial service will be held in her honor at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ 85338.
