Obituary

Connie M. James, age 69, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away at home peacefully with her husband of 49 years by her side.

Connie was born in Fostoria, Ohio on February 5, 1948; she was the daughter of Joseph and Mary LaFontain.  Connie married Ronald James on January 19, 1968.  Connie guided and devoted her early life to being a military wife and mother of three.  She kept the feeling and stability of home wherever duty took the family.

The family finally settled down in Arizona and, once her three children were well on their way in life, she devoted her life to helping other children through being a foster parent.  After many years of helping children in their time of need, she found another calling.  She discovered three children that needed more than just a temporary home but a permanent one.  She and Ronald adopted the children that needed the safe haven and a home that would provide them stability in their lives.  Connie dedicated her time and energy to helping stave off the troubles in life for these children and gave them love.

Connie will be fondly remembered as a remarkable woman, loving, kind, and caring.  Connie would go out of her way to help anyone in need and was always there for her family and friends.  Connie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Connie was the beloved wife of Ronald James, devoted mother of six children, loving Grandmother of twelve, cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Mary LaFontain, and survived by two brother and two sisters whom will all miss her greatly.

At Connie’s request, her funeral services will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Barrow Neurological Foundation https://www.supportbarrow.org/.
