  1. To all my Whorl cousins, Aunt Charlotte’s kids (and spouses), and your kids, my (our) deepest sympathy. Aunt Charlotte never failed to answer a letter. I read many she wrote to Uncle Elwood, to my Mother & Dad (Glenn & Treva), to sister Kathy, and to me and Steve. She was so caring and involved, staying active swimming, going to the gym, and, of course, to basketball games. Although we were separated by a great distance, we will miss her dearly. Bet there’s a party in heaven now !!

Love you so much. peggy & steve

  2. I have special memories of Aunt Charlotte from the many days she spent at Grandma and Grandpa Whorl’s home. She was a gentle, cheerful spirit and wonderful loving mother to her children. Only occasionally , when she and Jim would attend the Whorl reunion, did I reconnect with her – and she was still the same beautiful spirit that I remembered her to be. I am sure her spirit is soaring now that she is with her Jim, Grandma and Grandpa Whorl, Elwood, Glen, Margaret, Vernon, Charles and Helen, Sid, and Eric and Jackie. I want to picture them all sitting around Grandma’s kitchen table shucking oysters or eating Hog Maw. What wonderful childhood memories I have of those special family times.

  3. I have many fond memories from being at Grandma and Grandpa Whorl’s, visiting in MA, and at the Whorl reunions. I will cherish her letters. My love and prayers to all the family.
    Kathy

  4. Daniella says:

May the God of all comfort and tender mercies comfort your family at this time. The Bible promises that soon death and pain will be no more, please hold tight to that promise.

  5. My Mom and Dad had a wonderful reunion with Jim and Charlotte today. We lost Dad last year and Mom last night. I’m sorry I didn’t get the information sooner. Bless you all.
